Bermuda Shorts Day (BSD) is a long-standing tradition that marks the final day of the classes. What started decades ago as a small campus celebration quickly evolved into one of Canada’s most iconic student celebrations. Known for its signature mix of Bermuda shorts, spring sunshine, and high-energy gatherings, BSD has become a rite of passage for students—bringing together thousands to celebrate the end of the academic year.

Over the years, the energy of Bermuda Shorts Day has gradually faded. With the university’s official beer gardens discontinued and stricter enforcement around public drinking and large gatherings, what was once a unified campus celebration became scattered, often shut down, and harder for students to fully experience. The tradition never disappeared but BSD FEST is elevating the long standing celebration to new heights and will never let it die down ever again.
